At the same time, it seems to surprise many that Paul's undeniable grassroots effectiveness hasn't translated to a showing either in national or state polls. That's surely due to the fact that many if not most of those who are sending money to Paul are not, in fact, Republicans. They are more plausibly among the 3 million or so who voted for Ralph Nader on the Green Party line in 2000, or even among those who rained money down on Howard Dean in the summer of 2003.
It is a possibility.
The title of this article falsely implies that Ron Paul is a already a spoiler candidate who is going to lose à la Ralph Nader. A valid question would be to ask how much money does Ron Paul need to raise before neoconservative John Podhoretz ceases writing articles presuming that Ron Paul is going to go third party 10 months before the Republican National Convention.
Does Podhoretz write articles like this about Huckabee, Hunter or Tancredo? No. And the reason is because nothing would make Mr. Podhoretz happier than to have Ron Paul take the third party route to obscurity. I can't wait until Ron Paul takes the Republican nomination.
I can't wait until Ron Paul takes the Republican nomination.
Heck yea. Now that he's got the cash Iowa will be hit by storm. Paul trumps Nader in all respects and will show everyone that this country is ready for a change by winning!
